Stewarding family legacy across generations and borders

AFOLI is a not-for-profit institute that supports leadership, governance and next-generation development for Asian family offices and the families they serve.

Our Mission

Education and dialogue for the people who carry family enterprises forward

Family offices across Asia and the diaspora are managing a historic transfer of wealth, responsibility and values to a new generation. Many of the questions they face are not only financial. They are about governance, succession, purpose and how to work across cultures and jurisdictions.

AFOLI brings principals, next-generation family members, advisors and educators together to learn from one another, share good practice and build the relationships that make long-term stewardship possible.

Our Work

Four areas of focus

01

Leadership & Governance

Programs on family governance, decision-making and the role of the family office as an institution that outlasts any one generation.

02

Next-Generation Development

Workshops and peer forums that prepare rising family members to take on leadership, stewardship and philanthropic roles with confidence.

03

Cross-Border Dialogue

Convenings that connect families and practitioners across Asia, North America and Europe to compare perspectives and build trusted networks.

04

Research & Knowledge Sharing

Insights, case discussions and resources on the practices that help family enterprises and family offices endure.
